BILL Kills Punisher at Box Office

Read'em and wheep. The spaz attacking American Idol judge with a bad shirt, Quentin Tarintino, killed at the box office over the weekend as expected. Kill Bill Vol. 2 took in over $25 million. The Punisher scored an ok, solid $14m. Click on for the other numbers.

Review: The Punisher: It was Punishment alright...

This is what happens when you stray too far… It would be too easy for me to spout off how much I hated The Punisher and everyone involved in this steaming pile. Poorly made 80s action movie. Flat characters. Bad acting. Terrible one-liners.

The RING 2: Full Script Review !!!

Screenwriter Erin Kruger's new tale has investigative reporter Rachel Keller and her young boy Aidan relocating from Seattle to the quaint mountain town of Asheville, Oregon where she's landed a job at the local Asheville Gazette. Among her colleagues there is Max Rourke, the film's thirtysomething male lead (a la Martin Henderson in the first film). Beware, this review is chocked full of small Spoilers.

NetfliXperiments: Ouch! My Head Hurts--Foreign Films

Once again, I've raided Netflix's vaults. This time in search of some artsy movies. I really enjoy foreign films. But once in a while I’ll go out on a limb and come back with my head spinning. There are tons of pointy-headed art movies out there, I’m sure everyone’s seen one. Here’s a short list of recent one’s I’ve seen and they remind me why I’ve never tried learning French.

NetfliXperiments: Highway Horror & Hillbilly Fishermen

Netflix has thousands of films to rent. I try to squeeze in as many films as I can since I pay a monthly fee. I skip the junk you can rent at Blockbuster and go straight to the sublime, irreverent and just plain weird you can’t find anywhere else. Consider me your trash man and treasure hunter as we experiment with movies we never knew existed.
