WB Casts Will Toale As AQUAMAN!

Little known actor Will Toale has been cast by the WB execs and Miles Millar and Alfred Gough (Smallville producers tapped to produce Aquaman) in the lead role of the Aquaman pilot. No other roles have been cast and no word on how they're going to handle the whole, lives-underwater part of the character. Click over for the Hollywood Reporter article.

New, Japanese V FOR VENDETTA Trailer!

The hype machine for V is slowly firing up. It was screened last month to the aintitcool geeks in Austin (receiving strong reviews) and now, here come the "international" and other, specially themed trailers that basically contain the same stuff, but are given a different angle. Expect to see the "romantic" trailer (with obligatory Coldplay song) sometime close to Valentines Day.

Daily Show's JON STEWART Will Host Friggin' OSCARS!

That'd be nice, wouldn't it? One of the funniest, most intelligent comics around will be hosting this year's Academy Awards. Jon Stewart, host of the Daily Show on Comedy Central is the man the people have finally settled on after Chris Rock passed (or was not asked back). The telecast happens in March, nominations are announced in the beginning of February.

HUGH JACKMAN Answers X-MEN 3 Questions!

Hugh Jackman, X-Men's Wolverine answered a few easy questions over at Entertainment Weekly's "blog" concerning a Wolverine film, Bret Ratner, and new fighting styles. His answers are as you'd expect. Lets hope the Wolverine flick gets handled by the right people (David Benioff is writing the script). 1st Hollywood 9/11 Flick, FLIGHT 93 Has a Teaser

It's coming. A mini onslaught of 9/11 flicks produced by the Hollywood studios. First up, Flight 93; a film about the flight that crashed in Pennsylvania and rumored to have been intended to fly into the white house. Paul Greengrass (dir. Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bourne Supremacy) directs a cast of almost total unknowns.

STAR WARS Flick About Fans, 5-25-77 TRAILER Romantically Geeky!

5-25-77 is a flick about the day the original (the real number one) Star Wars was released and the impact it had on teen and teen alike. The script was rumored to be one of the stronger unproduced pieces of work floating around Hollywood for awhile. It looks fun but sappy. Sappy fun. Twitchfilm has the trailer and is warning us that it's a test trailer and not the finished product.
