Last Samuri, First at Box Office

No surprises here, Tom Cruise opens a films well.  He's still a solid bet even after all that crap he shovels about L. Ron Hubbard.  The Samuri flick brought home 24.4 million.

1st Review of Return of the King!

I went to see The Return of the King tonight and it had an effect on me. It made my coffee taste better.  I loved Fellowship, but it didn’t add up to the book. I loved The Two Towers, and it tied the book. But Return of the King is a genuine improvement on the original book.

Myers' Crapped On Cat in the Hat Stays On Top

Ripping 25.6 million off of the general public and the leading box office earner for a second weekend in a row, the Cat in the Hat made a crap load more money this weekend.  It remained, however, a crap movie.  Eddie Murphy's weakly reviewed entry into the half-ass-holiday-kid-flicks genre, Haunted Mansion, made 25.3 million.
