The big(ish) surprise nominations are for Zach Braff's interesting writing and directorial debut, Garden State, and for the entire cast of the critically acclaimed, Before Sunset.  The awards are handed out for best original and adapted screenplays of the year.

SUPERMAN Casts Perry White Role and Others!!

Director Bryan Singer seems to be bringing aboard people he's familiar on the new Superman. The Hollywood Reporter reports that James Marsden (X-Men's Cyclops) and Hugh Laurie (Lead on TV's House) have been added to the cast.

Best of 2004: SAG Award Nominees!

The Screen Actors Guild has announced their nominees for the 2004 year in film.  No big surprises here.  Actors from Oscar buzz flicks like Sideways, Finding Neverland, The Aviator, Ray, and Hotel Rwanda all got nods.

FANTASTIC FOUR Trailer Attached to Elektra!!

Latinoreview.com is reporting that the first trailer for this summer's huge pile of shit film, The Fantastic Four, will be attached to prints of Elektra.  Basically, Fox is begging you to come see Elektra this weekend (the reviews are mostly bad).
