NY Times HATES On Alba's GOOD LUCK CHUCK

Here are A.O. Scott's words from his NYT's review, "I've occasionally heard Dane Cook, one of the stars of Good Luck Chuck, described as a comedian. I find this confusing, since my understanding is that comedians are people who say and do things that are funny." Awh snap. Read more of A.O's roough review of this shitcan flick that will probably make good money this weekend.

Cormac McCarthy's THE ROAD Becoming Flick

The kick ass Pulitzer Prize winning, Oprah adored book, The Road, written by Cormac McCarthy is getting the film treatment. Fingers crossed John Hillcoat (dir. The Proposition) doesn't fuck it up. Viggo Mortenson is "attached" and that worries us a little.  That and the fact that it's being produced by Dimension. Total worriesville..

Apparently, execs at NBC Universal fear a non-Ron Moore (BSG co-creator) future. More info..

Awful Richard Kelly SOUTHLAND TALES Trailer

God awful. We're thinking it's the studios horrible attempt to make it look like a different film than what it is (a dark comedy with musical numbers). If it is a good flick, the trailer mangles it into a horrible one. If it's half as bad as the trailer, Richard Kelly (wr-dir. Donnie Darko) should just admit it, apologize, and move on.
