News from the Hollywood Reporter says that Oscar-winner Frank Darabont (The Green Mile) will polish and refine the script of Minority Report, an upcoming science fiction thriller to be directed by Steven Spielberg. It also looks like Tom Cruise will have the starring role.

Fox and DreamWorks will co-finance the movie, which is based on a Philip K. Dick short story. Other Dick stories that have been made into movies include Blade Runner and Total Recall. And those were very well done movies too. I guess you can never go wrong when everyone wants some Dick.
