"There is a large element of me in every role I do. Actors who say they can dive inside a character are either schizophrenic or lying." -- Bruce Campbell |

Review: Road Trip
By Azad on May 22, 2000 11:02 PM
From the trailers that I saw, the humorous quips lured me to watch this movie. And fortunately, the trailer did not spoil the funniest scenes. Although the movie's plot was definitely very straightforward and simple, the writers managed to tell a full story from beginning to end without involving any annoying side story lines. The characters were well developed and being a college student myself, I could relate to them easily. The humorous parts were well written and performed, and the characters also show good depth for this type of movie. I also enjoyed the fact that the characters were non-stereotypes (i.e. a marijuana smoker who is not a washed out flake, but quite the intellectual). And I would like to add that I was also amused by the movie's refreshing comical use of nudity.
Conclusion: This is a raunchy college-life / sex relationship comedy that should be enjoyed for what it is. It's simple, it's amusing, and goes right to the point. I give it a 9/10.
