 It's Official, Anakin's Been Cast

Hayden Christensen, a small time actor (just like Lucas promised), is set up to be the new Darth Vadar. He's had only a few roles; mostly noted for his role on the Fox Family Channel's Higher Ground.
Up for the role with Christensen was Ryan Phillippe, Colin Hanks (Tom Hanks' son), and according to E! Online News, Paul Catermole, a member of the british boy band S Club 7. Thank god that didn't happen! Yes, everyone can breathe easy. Leo wasn't even a finalist.
Ewan McGregor, Samuel L. Jackson, Natalie Portman, and Ahmed Best will all return to play their respective roles come late June when production starts in Sydney, Australia on Episode II. |
