"There is a large element of me in every role I do. Actors who say they can dive inside a character are either schizophrenic or lying." -- Bruce Campbell |

Rudolf Martin has signed on to play the part of Vlad "The Impaler" Dracula in the independent film Passions of Dracula: A True Story. Roger Daltrey of The Who fame will co-star opposite Martin as King James of Hungary, whose actions bring about the horrific reign of Dracula.

The real-life Dracula ruled Wallachia from 1453-1462, and as history stated, was best credited with killing tens of thousands of people, most often by impaling. The vampire of Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula is based on Vlad Dracula, thus adding further infamy to the name. Peter Weller and Jane March will also co-star in the film, which is being directed by Joe Chappelle from a script by Tom Baum. Film shooting will begin on April 3 in Bucharest, Romania. From the current information so far, I hope that this will be one hell of an independent feature. And for those who seek historical knowledge, you can read more about the history of Vlad.
