Quote of the day:

"There is a large element of me in every role I do. Actors who say they can dive inside a character are either schizophrenic or lying." -- Bruce Campbell

Topic: Film Mick Jagger Executive Producer of Che Guevera Film
By Sushuma on January 25, 2000 2:40 PM

Mick Jagger, leader singer of the Rolling Stones, is the executive producer of a new film about the revolutionary Cuban leader Ernesto "Che" Guevera called Tania. For several years Jagger has nursed the film's script, which focuses on the relationship between Guevera and Tania Bunke, an East German spy. Bunke died fighting alongside Guevera on his final mission to Bolivia in 1967, when the Stones were working on their Satanic Majesties Request album. Jagger has been scouting for locations in Cuba and Bogota, Colombia. Michael Radford (Il Postino) has been slated to direct the WB film. Jagger as executive producer is looking to Antonio Banderas to play Che, reprising his role in Evita.
