Quote of the day:
"There is a large element of me in every role I do. Actors who say they can dive inside a character are either schizophrenic or lying." -- Bruce Campbell |

Lord of the Rings Everything it's Cracked up to Be
By SKillBot on December 19, 2001 10:46 PM
In my fit of nerd envy (I fancy myself in the geek camp) everyone says the film fulfilled their expectations. Theatres were packed everywhere as onlookers were fed everything they were promised. Arnold Westfield, a 39 year old safety inspector said, "It's like my brain was filled with an eclair, and my tongue was lengthened to the point where I could lick this cerebellic pastry. The sensual feedback loop was unlike anything I could have ever imagined."
For those of you with no sense of oddity, I made that up because I feel lame ripping things straight out of the AP article. But I highly recommend reading what the Associated Press has to say here.

It was incredible! Acheron and I agreed Legolas was the spitting image of the novels' description. Of course, it kinda sucked that I watched it in Shreveport, Louisiana - where all the white trash was kicking over beer bottles and obnixiously complaining about how dumb they were. I can't wait to leave this cracker camp.

i was there to see LOTR on friday night...
they put so much of that fake-ass oil on my pop corn that it seeped thru the bag and stained my jeans and coat! cruddy theatre popcorn....
oh yeah..the movie was a visual masterpiece...but I didn't quite feel attached enough to the characters...I usually bawl during the sad parts of movies..but I found myself not shedding a drop over gandalf and the other death scenes....

In response to the no ending--that's why it's only the first part of a TRILOGY. Wait until next year.
