Topic: Film Attack of the Star Wars Trailers
By SKillBot on November 16, 2001 5:59 AM

A trailer for Attack of the Clones has been released on Apple's site. You can only see the large version with QuickTime Pro(lame!). But the other sizes are still pretty and you can see it here (Click reload if it says "forbidden")

Jar Jar is in there, in the scene where Obi-wan and Padme greet each other, he is off to the left. Its a great trailer, but The Phantom Menace had some good trailers as well and we know how that one turned out.
And also, DAMN Portman is a hottie!

Turned out? I've got lesser expectations for this one. After all, we know where the story is going to...

Either way, it's always good watch some light saber fights.

In the HP movie they are showing a trailer for clones. Too much Lovie Dovie for me, hope they just played that up for viewing at the family geared HP. After the uncerimonious death of the clutzy Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi, I hadn't remembered how formidable the Bounty Hunters were supposed to be.

Sounds like you need a life Shemp. Do you make a point of searching the internet for topics people enjoy only to dismiss them as losers? That is indeed, a wonderful life.

Note: That'sa pun based on the title of a MOVIE directed by Frank Capra. MOVIES, Shemp, are pictures that tell a story in sequence,  projected onto a white screen at 24 frames per second. They're pretty cool! You should check one out!

Especially this one movie that was released in '77, can't remember the title at the moment. I remember it was really good tho and it changed the way MOVIES were made forever. Pretty exciting, eh?

Ya big dork. If you don't like what you're watching, change the goddamn channel and quit wasting people's time.

What are you a Republican or something?

Sheesh.

Actually, in the Star Wars expanded universe, Boba Fett does not die in the Sarlac pit. He is there for a while, but he does get himself out. You'd have to read the novels to know that, and there are a few that gets more detailed with the bounty hunters. They're good reading if you liked the Star Wars trilogy.

does anyone else remember (waaaaay back in the early '80's) that there was a popular rumour that Boba Fett was a woman? how on earth did that get started?

As far as the new trilogy goes...I miss the wookies. I know JAR JAR has been bashed to death...but how could anyone ANYWHERE, including Lucas, think that he would be as good an alien sidekick as Chewie was?!?!

It still won't let me see the trailer!
I went to see Harry Potter this weekend too, and they did't show the trailer there either. I thought the movie was good, but not great.
I still want to see the clones :-(

I will go to dtheatre to watch it anyway, but...

Attack of the Clones? Sounds like a bizarro movie from the 50's.

Thank god Cinemascope & Technicolor have improved since then.

Admit it, the trailer looks fantastic.  The waterfalls, Portman in the backless dress, the rain fight between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett--it all looks fantastic.  At least this new movie will be without the child actor some called Mannequin Skywalker.

Well dude, I still love the trailer of Jurassic Park 2, but the movie stinks.

So let's wait for another better preview, OK?

"Jango Fett" "Count Dooku" "Darth Tyranus" It sounds as though George Lucas has lost some of his creativity. Episode II does look promising though. No matter how much I hated Episode I, nothing will stop me from going to see Episodes II & III.

Don't ask me why but when I heard the name Count Dooku I immediately had an image of the count from seseme street in my head. Yoda against him would be an interesting fight.

Hey Guys, I can see that a larger percanateg apparently aren't power users but heres a hint, don't waste your money on quicktime pro just to see the large trailers..just use WinMX or Gnutella to download the raw files from someone else out there and view away to your hearts content...I have all 3 trailers: breathing, mystery, and Forbidden Love all in Large Screen hi-res format for veiwing and copying and sending or whatever. It's amazing what a little brainpower can do for ya...

Yo man! Starwars Episode II is gonna be ,like, ahsome! it's just a shame that we all have to wait till May next year before we can see it, that's fuked up man. And what about Episode III?! when's that out? 2005 or something like that! And what about when they're finally all out on DVD including the original trilogy? I wouldn't be suprised if Lucus held off till 2010 or something like that considering how long it took Episode I to get to DVD. Jesus H God-dancing Christ! I probably won't even live that long! AAAGGGHHH!!!

I heard he will not do 8, 9, & 10. In which case I hope it is done by Ron Howard, he's not into all this silly sci fi nonsense, finally Star Wars will be made right!

I'll bet on Oliver Stone: "Look, he's got a light saber!"

What about Rob Reiner?
Picture these two in a pub in Tatooine:

Han Solo: I know when a girl has the Force with her.

Leia: What? You don't think she could be faking it?

Han: Believe me, I know.

Leia: MMMMM! I can see the future! MMMMM! I move things with my mind! MMMMM!

GREEDO: illustrious Jabba, I come to you today on the day of your daughters wedding, I hope that her first child is a mascaline child.

JABBA: Why have you come to see me?

GREEDO: I have been having problems with Han Solo and I need your help.

JABBA: My help? Tell me Greedo, when was the last time you invited me into your house for coffee and cake? In all the years you have known me never once did you try to be freinds with me.

GREEDO: B-Be my friend?

JABBA: Ah, va bene

Han Solo:
There must be a guy like me in every space dock in the galaxy. I'm the guy who can get it for you. A bottle of whiskey, a bag of reefer, (if that's your thing) almost anything within reason. So when Luke Skywalker came to me one day and asked me for a spaceship to Alderan I said no problem.

VADER: This is the Empire. You can't smoke, eat meat, have sex or use saber lights, without the Emperor's authorization.

OBI-WAN: Land of Lucasfilm.

VADER: Indeed.

...

VADER: If you shot down the shield, the Millenium Falcon will get out of here and we'll lose all of we acomplished in the last Episodes! Don't do it, Obi-Wan!

OBI-WAN: My name is Kenobi.
