"There is a large element of me in every role I do. Actors who say they can dive inside a character are either schizophrenic or lying." -- Bruce Campbell

Topic: Film A Glimpse of Spiderman in Action!
By Azad on March 26, 2001 2:54 PM

Thanks to the folks from the Aint it Cool News web site, spiderman fans and curious onlookers alike can get a preliminary glimpse of the web slinger in action.

The short footage is a test footage by the effects gurus from Sony Imageworks, and shows Spiderman doing the classic wall crawl up a building as the camera rotates around him. It's definitely a cool test sequence, and based on that short piece, imagine it combined with acrobatic stunts and whatever else those effects maestros can come up with. It's gonna be pretty bad ass.

The test footage is in Windows Media format. Click here to see it! Or if you have a 56k connection, Click Here!

And of course, every fan should go visit the new site launch of the Official Spiderman Web Site! It seems that you can get the chance to win a trip to the first test screening of the film, or at the very least a very early screening of the film.

This "test" footage was released with the express intent of generating interest in the upcoming movie. I will probably see it but I have never been a real big fan of this particular character. Also, I hate the thought of that Pimp Stan Lee geting even one dollar of my hard-earned money.

Spiderman is a moderately cool character that the average dork can love. The scrawny science dude gets bitten by a spider and becomes super powerful, but he is still a weiner at heart so he can't come to terms with it. Spiderman is a weakling, if not physically , then mentally. I wish Dr. Octopus would kick his ass out of publication.

My condolences to you my friend, but have you noticed that alomst every posting is a "random shemp"?  the reason is because if you are not signed in to this site, you are an unknown, so "a random shemp" is inputted instead.  just a little FYI.
