Quote of the day:

"There is a large element of me in every role I do. Actors who say they can dive inside a character are either schizophrenic or lying." -- Bruce Campbell

Topic: Film The Hunted To Be Filmed In Oregon
By Acheron on February 8, 2001 8:16 AM

Tommy Lee Jones' next movie, The Hunted is set to be filmed in Portland and Oregon's Silver Falls State Park.

Filming will begin in mid-March and will take about 10 weeks to complete. William Friedkin ("The Exorcist," "Rules of Engagement") will direct the action-thriller, The Statesman Journal reported.

Jones plays an FBI "deep-woods tracker" who captures an assassin (Benicio Del Toro). When Del Toro escapes, Jones must team up with a female FBI agent (Connie Nielsen) to find the assassin before he comes after them.

The crew will spend two weeks shooting at Silver Falls, Oregon's largest state park, 26 miles east of Salem. The park will figure prominently in the film, said Liza McQuade of the Oregon Film and Video Office in Portland.

"It's a very big budget, so we're very pleased they chose Oregon," McQuade said.

I guess all of our Portland readers will have something to look forward to in the coming months.  This story was shamelessly taken from Nando Times.

Cool, I like movies with FBI agents chasing assasins before they come after them ... can't wait.

They might be filming where I live. There were people here a couple of weeks ago scouting out a house on my street as a possible location. I might be able to meet the stars. That would be so cool.

Sounds like another Tommy Lee Jones flop take-off of the Fugitive.  Lets see I guess this would be the third.  U.S. Marshalls, Double Jeopardy, and now: The Hunted.  When is Tommy going to start doing new material?  He's not.  Why quit the series if it keeps paying you more.  What a load of crap.

Well, they filmed the movie Palmetto on the road where I grew up and although it was a great place to grow up, Palmetto stunk the joint out...that Woody, what a maroon!
