New broadband thriller online
By AntiAlias on August 23, 2000 10:47 AM
Is there really a rave killer?
SafehouseLive plays with the fact that it is difficult for audiences to know what is "real" and what is "entertainment" online. The entire experience is constructed from the perspective of the 6 rave DJs who supposedly put the site together in response to a rave killer loose in their community.
Multi-perspective:
SafehouseLive was filmed in real time with all four cameras running simultaneously. This kind of multi-perspective interactivity allows for the audience to control their experience of the story while still delivering a story with a beginning, middle and end.
Stories are emotional experiences:
Trapeze’s creative goal is to produce emotional content for the web and, in the case of SafehouseLive, the emotion is fear and/or suspense. We understand that stories are the best way to grab people’s attention, retain their loyalty, and keep them coming back for more.
