Are MGM DVDs Screwing Film Geeks? BASTARDS!

A lawsuit has surfaced suggesting that a certain number of MGM DVDs advertised as being presented in widescreen actually weren't.  The suit suggests MGM took pan-and-scan versions of the flicks and placed bars over the top and bottom of the screen. STRANGERS WITH CANDY Gets Distro At Sundance!

Wack job, sex pot, wit-queen Amy Sedaris and her talented pals Stephen "Fucking" Colbert (Daily Show) and Paul Dinello (the art teacher from the show) made the film version of their cult-ish, Comedy Central classic last spring (with a host of celeb cameos) and now Warner Independent Pictures (the WB's Miramax) has picked it up.
