Yates To Direct ORDER OF THE PHOENIX!

David Yates is set to helm Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Weird, huh? Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding, Vanity Fair) stepped down and Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Delicatessen, City of Lost Children, Amelie) turned it down. So WB settled on virtual newcomer David Yates (?). EVIL DEAD Remake!!!

Director Sam Raimi ("Spider-Man") and Bruce Campbell ("Evil Dead" films) are teaming to produce a remake of "Evil Dead," the film that launched both of their careers, reports Variety. The new "Dead" will be produced through Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, the company that brought us the U.S. version of "The Grudge."
