"Waking" will be premiering on-line at ifilm! special premiere event starts on march 29, 2000 at www.ifilm.com. Equally exciting news: "Waking" was just won a "People's Choice" award at the Dallas Video Festival 2000. It screened twice on Friday March 24, 2000 to a packed audience. Currently, "Stressed" and "The Metamorphosis" (both: WGA registered & copyrighted), two of my newest screenplays, are making the rounds at various production companies. The companies reviewing the material for development, include Mystery Clock Productions, the Picture Factory, A Band Apart, Zero Pictures, and Cielo Films. We are still submitting manuscripts and press packages. Interested agents and producers can contact us with any requests or questions.
"HOME" is IN-PRODUCTION. This digital mini-feature will be beginning its third (and final) week of principal photography. Post-prod. is slated to start in mid-April 2000. THIS PROJECT WILL SURELY DRIVE PEOPLE MAD! HALLUCINATORY LOGICAL-PSYCHO THRILLER!
"WAKING" won an "Independent Filmmaker Award" at the 1999 Fort Worth Film Festival, as part of my experimental triptych of shorts, "Three". It was also voted as one of the four "People's Choice" films at Dallas Video Festival 2000. It can be seen at http://www.broadcast.com/video/dvf/peoples_choice and www.ifilm.com (3-29-2000)
"NOBODY" (1998) has been voted #1 in the "narrative" category in the on-line film fest at www.thesync.com for February and March 2000. "Nobody" has now played: 1998 Fort Worth Film Festival, 1998 Freaky Film Festival, Santa Monica Film Festival, Slamdance (outside festival), Tacoma Tortured Artists Film Festival, and many more.
There is also some press regarding Bloodshot Pictures, "HOME", and future projects at www.texasunderground.com, the only on-line film ezine on the web devoted to filmmaking in Texas. Look in the "Buzz", "Photos", and other areas. Also, there will be an interview/article put together some time in the near future at www.dtheater.com this Spring 2000.
PRE-PRODUCTION has begun on two new shorts. Both are still a secret, but they will be shot on 16mm and 35mm, respectively.
And, of course, Bloodshot Pictures is always open to interested theatrical and home video distributors on the market or around the globe. If you are interested in acquiring any of our work for distribution/screening, please contact us directly. Thank you.
