Directors Guild of America Nominees Announced

First-time nominees dominated the Directors Guild of America Award ballot announced Monday. They were Sam Mendes (American Beauty), Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich), M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense) and Michael Mann (The Insider). Also included on the list was Frank Darabont (The Green Mile), who was nominated in 1994 for The Shawshank Redemption.
