Affleck Will Do Batman If Paltrow Does Catwoman
By Jack on December 27, 1999 11:18 AM
Ben Affleck has agreed to star as the next Batman but is insisting that his girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow play Catwoman, the London Sunday Mirror reported. However, the newspaper quoted a Warner Bros. source as saying that Paltrow might turn down the role. "She can't decide if the part will be good for her career," the source told the newspaper. Meanwhile, London papers are also reporting that Natalie Portman is set to star in a sequel to the 1987 hit film Dirty Dancing. No word on the nature of her part, or who might co-star.

I don't want to slag Affleck because I think he's a great actor and love his films but I have to say that he would be terrible for the part. Give the bad guy of the Crow a shot as Batman or Russel Crowe.
