Just saw the trailor, I like the new character editions, but is the "cure" story-line a little outside of the x-men universe?? Seems a little hokey even if the movie looks cool.

Oh wow, this movie looks REALLY REALLY BAD. I mean, none of the characters look exciting, and they now look more camp than actually realistic, something that Bryan Singer did a good job of avoiding. Warren Worthington (Angel) is the worst offender; his wings don't look cool or dangerous at all, they look like dove wings! I mean, Affleck had better wings in Dogma, for god's sake. This movie has turned into a joke. Brett Ratner is going to burn in hell for this one. But I am glad that Bryan Singer has made the switch and is now doing Superman Returns. At least we get one decent superhero movie out of this.
Thanks for your time, and thanks Brett Ratner for being the worst director ever ever!

are you serious? you are a dumb faggot 2 posts up. Angel's wings are supposed to be like doves, hes not supposed to have cool wings. Thats part of his character, if you knew anything about X-men you would know. Dumbass. And a few more posts up, the cure thing, is actually part of X-men, its not going far out of the world at all, do you remember how apocalypse had mystique act like a professor with a cure that way he could have his 4 horsemen? big part of the x-men world, it wasnt a cure at all, but merely a trick, so it doesnt venture far from the world at all, no one here knows anything about x-men at all. Learn your stuff before you talk

my friend thinks Wolverine would look cool if he wore his old outfit (the yellow one) in the movie, i think itd b weird and the fact the Logan (being such a badass) wouldn't be caught dead in that outfit. What do u guys think?

I just checked the IMDB listing. The plot synopsis, as well as the character of Dr. Kavita Rao, indicate that this is lifted directly from a storyline that came out recently.
Joss Whedon recently wrote it, Astonishing X men 1-6

It is just amazing to me how many P.h.d.'s in film production visit this site.
Only people who are that educated and "connected" could bag on a movie that's almost a year from opening.

Actually the "cure" was a real storyline, but it was Rogue going to get the cure in the comics. She went, and while there she decided that it wasn't right and she destroyed all the machines.

OK, I will admint I don't know much about the storyline of X-men as it pretainds to the comic. I do know I thought the first two movies were awesome and I expect the same from the third. The one item I was in doubt on was Kelsy Gramer playing Beast. I thought that would be a mistake, but aster seeing him in the trailer, I have no doubt he will be awesome in the movie. This is the teaser, so you can't make too many assumptions about the movie, but from watching it, I think it has a good shot at being just as good as the first if not better.

great trailer liked everything about the stuff it showed but bad coice of music at the begining wish they would have stuck to X-men 2 music. Nightcrawler is NOT in this one but it's okay altough he's my second favorite cahracter.Pyro is my favorite though and he looks badass in this one.I'm glad they kept the same guy can't wait to see him and iceman fight.

Well first of all angel never really had cool wings till he became ARCH ANGEL. You actually need to pay attention to his character through out the comic book series ok, because b4 he became arch angel he was flamboyant and his wings look really fruity. So next time you going to post how his wings are supposed to look kool there not dumb ass hes supposed to look like a rich ass white boy who got angel wings HENCE THE NAME ANGEL.

yes, I agree, they definately need to start using Gambit. Hopefully he'll be part of the storyline soon. Maybe they'll introduce him at the end of this one and make him part of the fourth movie... if there is a fourth movie. Also in the trailer their at someone's funeral. Is that for Jean? And is Dark Pheonix supposed to be evil? or just ridiculously powerful. I can't quite remember.

It's obviously a change in directorial style...that's to be expected...the "cure" plot and the "Phoneix" sub-plot are both huge, epic storylines that really can't be accomplished in a standalone two (or three?) hour movie...
and a Random Shemp is really Brett Ratner's mom....
