Maybe Anne Hathaway thought a gritty-ish flick about bad girls gone bad in L.A. would shake her Ella Enchanted, Princess Diaries image. I heard a lot of audiences got mad about her performance in that movie. They said it was totally out of character, and Anne sold out to Hollywood and things like that. I think she felt like doing something different and prove she could act in more than just G-rated movies. If I was in her place I'd sure as hell worry about being typecast!
Btw, Julie Andrews from The Princess Diaries did the same thing a while back in "SOB", haven't seen it though...

Anne has done so many wonderful movies for children and families. Most female actresses have done at least one scene where they have been nude. Then the realize what they have done and don't repeat it. Drew Barrymore, Thora Birch are two examples. Thora did American Beauty in 1999 where it was symbolizing women's Beauty and not sex. Drew was a wild one, but got out of drug rehab and has not done a nude scene in years. Many others have done them and either slowly or quickly gotten away from it. Anne said she wants to be a mother one day and be taken seriously. Many other women have made nude mistakes and stepped away from it. I am not preaching, but I believe that this was a one time only thing for her. I love her unconditionally and will always respect her. She like so many of the others will learn from her mistakes, meet the right guy, and get married. Hollywood is like vultures. They wait for easy picking. MONEY TALKS. She will remember all the good her 1st movies did and grow up like Drew,Thora and many others I know of. My prayers are with her. Last thing I would like to say to everyone. I know a lot of you have your own opinions of her, but please don't comment back to me using profanity. These are my opinions and if it bothers you, then that is a personal problem and you need to work it out by yourself and not vent to me.

I know I mentioned something in the last hour, but this is a classic example. Elizabeth Berkely. You all remember her as Jessie from, "Saved By the Bell." What happend when it and the college years spin off ended. She did "Showgirls" in 1995 and it is identical to what Anne Hathaway went through in "Havoc" Well Elizabeth Berkely gave it up and she is now on "Without a Trace","Threshold", "Student Seduction" (where she was not nude and fought off sexual advances". All these had no nude scenes and she cleaned up her life for one main reason Anne has figured out. Nude actresses,Porn Actresses, (ARE A DIME A DOZEN). Nothing is special about these people. Hillary Duff, Lindsey Lohan, The Olsen Twins, have all said they would never be nude for anyone (REGARDLESS of what you have heard). They are all worth over $100,000,000. FOr what, never being modest. Anne did Ella Enchanted actually AFTER Havoc, it was just released later. Ella Enchanted,Hoodwinked,Brokeback Mountain she has all done since Havoc. She has not been in any of them nude and has changed I believe. Havoc was filmed in Late 1993. Ella Enchanted, Hoodwinked, Brokeback Mountain, were all after and have grossed Millions more than Havoc. I think the money these movies has made as opposed to Havoc, will reinforce what I have said.
If Elizabeth Berkely can go from star, to nude actress, back to modest. And Anne Hathaway is worth so much more, then I believe this movie is the last you will see of her NUDE.
I have names of many actresses that are like both of them. They all got away from nude scenes and went back to modesty.
Once again, if what I have said offends you. TOO BAD. You have your opinions and I have FACTS. We all make mistakes and we have to learn from the school of hard knocks and take a hit. I am going to pray for every person like Anne, Elizabeth, Drew, Thora and many more that have made mistakes. If you want to idolize there breats, butts, front, that is your choice. But for me, I applaud all these women for realizing there mistakes, and changing. I hope we can all learn from there examples, mistakes, and see that our own family and friends do not fall into this posing,acting, VIEWING these people NUDE TRAP. I am a Latter Day Saint (Mormon if you want to call it that). I don't judge anyone. And if you make any rude comments to me, I will not judge you. I have done things stupid in life and learned from the school of hard knocks myself. I want all of you to realize Anne's Days of nude are already over. A reliable source told me that. I have acted in 10 movies myslef (B Class movies) and I almost fell into this trap. I testify to each of you, don't view her or any other Woman or man nude. Respect them please. Thank you.

I work at a video shop and I tell you it should be rated R. I've already had parents complain about it, and it is not suitable for these kids. if you have a kid you would know. but i guess it does not matter because the kids these days do and see much worse .

I simply don't think Anne should try to go all over board just to prove she can be something else other than her previous roles. I hope she has learned something from making that mistake of doing the movie Havoc. I don't think it can boost her career if that is what she is really looking for.
