Netscape 5.0 A Little Too Late?
  -- Posted by Egor on 1999-11-09 02:21:32
Netscape Communications, Inc. announced today that its much anticipated Netscape Navigator 5.0 will be available for trial later this month, the final version coming in February of 2000. With a beta version of Internet Explorer 5.5 coming soon, what will happen to Netscape? Is it too late? Is it the end of Netscape and esentially the browser wars? While we all may appreciate the concept of not having to deal with making a site compatible with both browsers, is it truly worth it? Without competition will IE become worse? Or will someone create a new and much more powerful browser (Opera?) Click Here, Read more and get answers to only some of your questions...

Blah...that sucked. The comment section needs a PREVIEW option. Anyways. What I was saying was, go with Mozilla( http://www.mozilla.org ) Can we say Standards Compliant? Hopefully this will be the way everyone else heads. The full initial release should be available very, very soon, and the current beta is working pretty well(although I don't think it has JavaScript in it yet...)

Ok...the little blurb at the bottom of the Post Comment section lies. As you can see above..I began a url with http:// and it didn't turn it into a link(and I tried using the anchor and href tag in the post before that, which is why it's all fucked up.)

Sorry about that... I just added the href feature and I forgot to remove the instructions.. I will also add a preview soon.
