 Director Charles Stone Talks TEKKEN Movie!

Fortunately for us, director Charles Stone's plans for the currently in pre-production Tekken "will not be anything like Mortal Kombat or any of the Lara Croft movies." "You will get the feeling of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon." A chance to get to know the characters before the inevitable slapdown. Both Jet Li and Jackie Chan have been loosely attached to the project at times, but Stone says he's hoping to make a fresh start. "It will have plenty of 'A' list actors,...Our budget is good so we shouldn't have problem there." The film is reportedly budgeted at around $60 million. Tekken should start production in 2005.

i think that the cast should all actually look like the characters of Tekken not like some movies where they look nothing like them.. the guy from avenging fist looks like hwoarang, it is who they tried to copy off of so he would be an interesting person to use.

I think if you want to bring all martial arts stars in a movie tekken is the one.Lei can be played by Jackie chan,And Law can be played by jet li I guess.The guy that played the bad guy in jet li's craddle to grave movie should play howarang.Van dame should be in the movie aswell for paul-the guy who played Ivan drago can be a good choice.I mean thats what I think.

I think that Jin should be Jet Li. J LO should be christie. Paul is sean william scoot(sry i cant spell). Jackie Chan as Lei. Dont think anybody can play the role of kazuya. and ling xiayou should be played by zang ziyi.

ok guys let's make things straight.lots of "A" stars will not make tekken film movie great.first of all you must found "A" STARS that now something about martial arts and they are not many.jet li is one of them, then jackie chan too(excellent for lei woulong-and his pony tail), mark dacascos , daniel bernardht , mike chat , cristina loken , donnie yen , zhang ziji , james lew and many more . But fore others you should make casting for real martial artists like Jerome le banner (paul)

Here's my list for who I think would fit the roles of each character:
Jin: Me!! I'm serious I look just like him and I'm a new actor so they can pay me cheap. I work out everyday to perfect my body just like Jin's. I'm in great shape right now all I need is a wig to make my hair looks like Jin's since i have short spiked hair right now. My eyes nose facial structure ears and eyebrows looks just like Jin's. I was shocked when I saw him for the first time cuz I automatically compared myself to him since we look so alike. If any of the casting people happens to stumble upon this site call me at 714 724 7060 and I'll send my pics to prove my resemblance of Jin. Jin should be the Main character that possess the special powers everyone else is seeking. I aslo know martial arts so I'd be suitable for the role, plus I'm a huge Tekken fan. Die hard fan of Jin eversince the release of Tekken. My name is Brandon Le, so if anyone wants to see my pics let me know.
Heiachi: This guy from mortal kombat, hes about fifty years old now. He played one of the villians. He's been in a lot of movies always played the villian though. He looks just like Heiachi.
Hoawrang: Jet Li
Lei: Jackie Chan with the pony tail would be perfect.
Law: The guy that played Bruce lee's role after his death. It's not that hard to find an immitation of law.
Yoshimitsu: Steven Segal
Paul: Jean Claude Van-Damme with extra make up cuz hes getting old.
Nina: The hot blonde villian girl from Terminator 3.
Eddy Goro: Wesley Snipe
Kazuya: The guy that battled with Jet Li in Romeo Must Die, Russel Wong;I think thats his name I'm not really sure of his last name.He should have his hair changed for the role just like Jin. Since he has curly hair they need to put a wig on him and scars on his chest to resemble Kazuya.

Ok the list for actors is all wrong. The movie should just be CGI because the bases with the game and everything would be really good and some of the character designs like for Kazuya in his Devil form should just be CGI because it would be better that way than by a crappy man made costume. A full CGI film would have better stuff and if you have seen Romeo must die the visual of when the opponent breaks their arm or busts it organ they should put it like that in CGI.

I think Nina should be played by Uma Thurman or that scary blonde chick from Termintator 3.Definetely Jackie Chan as Lei,and Jet Li as Law.This is my honest opinion,but I really don't think anyone made of flesh can portray Kazuya...but,if you HAVE to,make it Russell Wong.I guess he would make an exceptable Kazzy...Fann Wong or Zhang Ziyi as Ling Xiaoyu.Arnold Swartzeniger(sp) as Jack (which ever Jack,it don't matter).
And,please have people who can actually act,and look the part as well!!Because it'll be a sad thing if they give the parts of the 'pretty boys'(Hwoarang,Jin,etc)of Tekken to white american actors.

these are the cast of excellent actors that should be in the current and next Tekken movie
Heihachi Mishima: a random japanese man could play Heihachi because I have never seen anyone in entertainment that who even resembles him
Kazuya Mishima: The main japanese bad guy who Jet-Li fought at the end of "Romeo Must Die" movie, or the japanese bad guy in Lil Jon's rival on Lil Jon's video from the "crunk juice" album, if not a random japanese actor.
Jin Kazama: Michael Copon an upcoming japanese actor who guest star on "That's So Raven" and he also was a formal power ranger. I pick him because he's young and could a 16-23 year old role. And for the simple fact he look just like jin kazama.
Jun Kazama: Ming-Na Wen would be absolutely perfect for the role of Jun Kazama. She's a bueatiful japanese woman who's the voice of "Mulan" the animated Disney movie and also played the popular, bueatiful,strong journalist Chun-Li Zang from the movie "Street Fighter". Ming-Na is 42 going on 43 years old and she looks like she could be in her 20s, so she could play the Jun in her 20s and 40s and for the simple fact she looks just like jun.
Ling Xiaoyu: Brenda Song resembles Xiaoyu enough to play her role because she's kind of short, cute and sweet. Brenda plays in the Disney channel series "Phil of the Phuture" and also play a little snobby rich girl on " The Suit Life of Zack and Cody". She'll be able to play a 15-21 year old.
Hwoarang: I can't really think of anyone who's good enough or might even resemble him. But I can say that if you pick someone make sure he's tall, slim, muscle built, cocky,flexable and a korean prettyboy.
Nina Williams: There is no one more perfect for the role Nina Willams than Nicole Kidman. Nicole looks exactly like Nina they are identical. Nicole is one of the top best actors which means she could just about play any role especially a sext assasin. Nicole already looks like she could be in her 20s plus Nina is really older than what she really is because of the deep cryogenic sleep she and her sister Anna were in for 19 years. Nicole Kidman is a right on point actor for the character of Nina Williams.
Anna Williams: There are three very attractive actresses that could play/betray the bueatiful Anna Williams. Cameron Diaz(Charlie's Angels), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), and Sarah M. Gellar (Buffy).
Eddie Gordo: There are two great black actors I have in mind. Jamie Fox (Ray Charles & Collateral) and Mekhi Phifer (8 Mile & O).
Christie Monteiro: There's two leading ladies on my list and they are the world famous "Victoria's Secert" supermodel Tyra Banks and actress Sanaa Lathan (AVP)
Lei Wu-Long: There's only one and i mean only one perfect chinese man who could play this role any bind dummy could see it, "you know it" the infamous "JACKIE CHANG"!
Perfect!It don't get no better than that man.
Lee Choalan: The perfect man 20s and 40s for this role is no other but Tom Cruise (Vanilla Sky & Collateral he's perfect. He's talented, very handsome, and looks exstreamly young for his age. I can't picture no one else better to play this stuck up,and rich prettyboy than the oscar nominated actor Tom Cruise.
Marshal Law: There no other extrodinaray actor that could play law better then Jet -li. For all the obvious reasons.
Michelle Chang: I would say the angel "Selena" but her soul is resting in heaven so next in line is Jennifer Lopez it does make sense. J. Lo is a great actress for the role of the wandering fighter Michelle Chang.
Julia Chang: Christina Vidal(Freaky Friday & The Taina series) is a great young actress that could play the role of Julia the other "wandering fighter" Chang. Take a pic of Julia and a pic of Christina and put them right next to each other now, look at the resemblace.
Bruce Irvin: Will be no other then Roy Jones Jr. He's a great boxer and not to mention a good actor.
Raven: For this character I know everybody's 1st choice is Wesley Snipes(Blade) he is a spitting image of the black ninja. My second choice the black male supermodel Tyson Beckford.
Armor King/King: Just make him a mexican man with a tiger mask.
Paul Pheonix: to play the Paul in his 40s would be Jean Claude Van Dame and for the Paul in his 20s could be Lindsey the lawyer from Wolfram In hart on the hit series "Angel".
Steve Fox: This young gentlemen is the son of Nina Williams. The perfect person for this role would be Brad Pitt (Fight Club & Meet Joe Black). He just looks like him O.K. !
Bryan Fury: Vin Diesel is a good actor even though he doesn't really look exactly like bryan but his talent,body, and acting; gets him this role as Bryan Fury.

Uma Therma is to ugly to play Nina Williams. The only thing that they have in common is that they're both white women. If uma was to slightly turn her head they might have the same face structure. Uma is a beautiful woman but not enough to play Nina. I bet the only reason why you picked her because you liked her in "Kill Bill". Nicole Kidman is one the best actors in the game not only her looks are identical to Nina's but she has the skills. Nicole is diversal actor she can play a good guy, bad guy, nuetral, or a slut. Which ever roll you give her she can portray and look the part 10 times better than Uma Therma especially for the roll of Nina Williams.

u guys r definitely forgetting someone that is exactly a jin kazama clone, and that guy is Rick Yune from Fast and Furious...just look at the resemblance! and i'm a huge bruce lee fan and i so don not see jet li as being law
1. he's too short.
2. he would make a better feng wei.
although jackie chan would be perfect for lei, i'd doubt he wanna play the role. lol

it's kinda sad...tony jaa from ongbak definitely can portray bruce's moves (thai boxing) but he just does not look like Bruce...WWAAAAHAAHAHAHA!!!

The guy said he was looking into UFC and PRIDE and getting into the seedyness of steroids use. It is going to be Bloodsport meets Walker Texas Ranger with the name Tekken thrown on it for no reason other than ticket sales.
The movie will prob. go something like this:
John Kazama (Played by a Russel Crowe look-a-like): Hey, Frank we have to go infiltrate that drug ring/illegal fight ring!
Frank Wulong (Played by a Brandon lee look-a-like): Yeah. The evil Mishima crime cartel has terrorized Los Angeles LONG ENOUGH!
Brian Fury: I work for the Mishima crome cartel! I'm going to shoot you!
Josh Mitsu: Ha! I cut off your hand with this sword I found, Brian!
Nina and Anna Williams: Leik, we're totally valley girl twins that, leik, totally want to get naked and snort coke with our boyfriend, Gun Jack!
Gun Jack (played by liljon): Whassa! I'm a big P.I.M.P. up in hur!
Bruce Erveng (played by some other rapper): Yo, man. It's time for black on black blaxploitation fight time, boi!
Ling X: I'm a coke addict stripper with a kid that is going to get naked for no good reason!
Dr. B: I make the special super-coke in my lab! w007!
Harold Mishima: I'm teh bouse! John Kazama, I am your father! Now we fight to the death!
Ashley Kazama: John! You saved me! Time for another long love scene!
Kevin Mishima (played by Christopher Walken): You... killed by brother... Harry... time... to die now...
John Kazama: NOOOOO!!!! YOU KILLED FRANK WULONG!!!! NOW I HAVE TO KILL YOU!!!!
THE END: Everyone gets cleaned up and... for some reason... pose.

to the dude who wrote the full on story, i think u need to cut down ure sugar intake!
i think tekken fans will find this movie really gd, but that other ppl wont be interested, dont think its gonna do that well *sob sob* even though i love it! i mean name another film based on a game thats been amazing! there are none! unless ure alrdy a fan so argh! but goodluck for this one, fingers crossed right!?

TEKKEN MOVIE CAST.
Brian J White has already sign up for the project but ther will be more actors to come.Rick Yune would be a Asian action stars to play Kazuya
Mishima or Jin Kazama.
The movie will have a storyline from Tekken 1 and 2 and there will be more sequel for Tekken movie franchise.
Tekken music is the hot topic the music soundtrack will be mix up with hip-hop,techno and half rock.
There will be more news on cast for Tekken movie soon.

i think guys maybe the better murdock is th big show and lei as jackie chan and law as the man played the story of bruce lee, nd paul as stone cold steve austin, jack-5 would be brock lesner and kazuya will be mark damascus, king wil be the rock and etc..... i wish the characters are perfect 4 this movie b'coz many people like tekken a lot

IF there is going to be a tekken movie they better put some time and effort in it or it'll end up like the street fighter movie... that movie was garbage! plot sucked! they indefinitley picked wrong actors to play the roles of the street fighters, except for van damme... he made an OKAY guile but Dolph Lungren (opposite van damme in universal soldier) would have fitted the guile role perfect. they should introduce all the characters in tekken in sequels so they can keep the movie open and keep the audience drueling for more. unlike the SF movie where they brought (or tried) every character from the SF lineup... thats why the story sucked. they should do it in the way the movie mortal kombat, part one did it... now that was an awsome transition from game to movie right there! part two though of the movie is a whole different story... the movie had great CGI effects and what not and the soundtrack was off the chain, and the martial arts was on the dot; but like the SF movie... it sucked ass! plot sucked! the actor who played shao khan looked like a doofus with no klue at all, almost half of the characters in the game don't have a role at all?! as if they are just stand ins and die within minutes of there introduction... blah! gettin bored of typin so much gonna end it here... all i say here is this... if they kan utilize everything that the movie MK1 was then ladies and gentlemen... we have ourselves a tekken movie... if it leans towards MK2 and SF the movie... gonna be a flop fo sho... some of you may disagree with what i say but hey... thaz mah opinion so roll it up in a zig zag and smoke it! shawtie wer ya b33n?! peace...

hey ppl, alrdy posted like 5 comments but there ya go, nah, i think the movie will be gd, but i dont think it will be big, ya know!? its just a big shame, but i just cant see my frends and everyone saying, oh yeah lets go watch the tekken movie, soz, ppl but it aint gonna happen, ill go see it anyway, but i reckon it'll prob be crp, like mk and sf, do any of u guys know if this a diff director!? cos if it is then maybe it'll make a diff and it wont be that bad...... all i can sa is the more stars u poor into it then the more popular it will be, i think so, agree?

I believe that it will work out great. I wish they would allow Tekken 6 game to be on ps2 as well though. But anyways, most people in the US didn't know the game resident evil yet they went to go see it and they went back for the sequel. They'll most likely go and see the pre-sequel as well. But what my point is, even if some people don't know the game the movie is based on, they'll end up going and see it if they like the trailer and see hear how cool it is from friends and family. You know...the usual. And for all you people that are picking out actors who don't even look like the characters, why would you try to wreck the movie? Also, for all you people who are just looking for actors who look like the characters...THEY NEED TO HAVE SOME SKILL IN THE SAME FIGHTING STYLE AS WELL! So don't be picking J-LO to play the part of Christie when she doesn't even know how to do Capoiera and it's not exactly easy to learn aswell. That's all...bye

I think that the triplet from charlie's angels are perfect for some characters...cameron diaz as nina williams..drew barrymore as anna and lucy liu as jun kazama...I'm interested only in the actresses...kristin kreuk should be chosen to julia chang, zhang ziyi as ling xyaoiu, j.lo wold be a perfect christie monteiro...who else? oh michelle and asuka...I dont 'know...hum I remember..the girl form kill bill..chyaki kuryama (Gogo) would be good as asuka kasama...as young as her

You all are not picking characters well. Yeah you say J-Lo would make a great Christie Montero, but that character is black and there are other actresses out there that might be better at playing her. You have to look at their ethnic heritage as well and not just pick people willy nilly, that would just screw them up.

Sure Jennifer Lopez can dance and act but she wouln't be fit for Christie try someone like Janet Jackson, Vivica Foxx, or Tyra Banks(rumor has it that Tyra was original model for Chistie Monteiro, they both have that big forehead and same color skin tone along with same exact figure; big bress , small butt and pretty legs.) So please if try to correct me DON'T because you'll wind up making a fool of yourself.

I agree, halle berry should play Christie because she already knows capoeira and has the looks for it, she just needs a wig. I think she would be great and she'd probably love to play a part in the Tekken movie after what the critics did to Catwoman. That movie was awesome by the way, I have no idea what was the critics problem anyways. The old geezers are so annoying, they can't just have three people criticize the movie for everyone else...it's not fair because hardly anyone has an input.

oh that's bad...i just read at a brazilian site that for now the only women confirmed are Jun, Nina and Julia...they are analysing the possibilities for Anna and Xyaoiu...I think that a tekken movie that has so many games should put all the players at the screen...I really would love to see Anna...I'm in love with her...

people let's think the real not what we want to happen...it would be impossible for sony to fit in all the characters...there will be only 10 in the movie, because it takes fact from tekken 1 and 2.The characters will be: kazuya, jun, wang, paul, law, lei, michelle, nina e bruce...this not counting heihachi

For your information destiny! Jin could be in there to y'know. He was born after Tekken 1 and was still a kid in Tekken 2 yes but he was around age 7 to 10. He could be in the movie as a little kid ya never know.

Actoress/stars i think that are good choices:

I think Tyra Banks could play the best Christie Montiero. I also can't think of no better person to play Nina but Nicole Kidman to me they look just alike.
I'm niot sure if they're going to let a puerto rican woman play as Michelle but if they do J. Lo would be perfect

I have been reading alot of the comments and some are just awful choices. If Jennifer Lopez plays Christie Monteiro that movie deserves to fail. Secondly Rick Yune is way to old to play Jin Kazama although he would be a great Kazuya Mishima. Ming-Na Wen/Chun-li could be a perfect Jun Kazama but the only problem is that she's chinese.
Jackie Chan : Lei Wu-long, Nicole Kidman : Nina Williams, Jet-Li : Marshall Law, and Beyonce Knowles : Christie Monteiro was the best choices I've seen on this forum for the Tekken characters
Next time if you pick and choose these people make sure you choose the right race to match their characters race.

people are really getting crazy....what do you see between nicole kidman and nina williams?...no doubt nicole is the best actress in hollywood, but she doesn't have the profile for a fight movie...she looks so sweet and nina looks so tough...people let's be more rational.The only actrees I can think for her is that one from terminator 3...they both are so tough!!!

Nicole Kidman looks just like Nina to me she's a much better choice than the ugly Uma "no type of shape" Thurman. I was looking at Batman Forever the other day and on that movie Nicole looks just like Nina.
