Well see the thing is if you go to a theatre or something lik that you'll see this add right and youd think it was something along the lines of some horror movie where the girl gets trapped on an island and get eaten... not exactly after you see the lets just say oversized ape . You will gte somehting in your head saying hmm this looks a lil bit like king kong... funy hing it is! it shows hw he defends her in this one add that i saw .. but since im only 13 years old in my last few years the only thing i saw king kong acually doing to the girl was basically... pick her up outa a building and sometimes eat her :| haha well thats all for now im a go see it later and i guess ill put another comment.. or i might even be a critic lol bye

What are your people talking about? This film looks amazing! It has great actors in it as well, especially Naomi Watts, she's amazing. Really good choice of cast here. This film will be amazing for sure because, come on people, Peter Jackson is directing it! No one else could make this film any better. He knows what he is doing.

I don't know about Jackson anyway. He doesn't direct actors well, the Rings highlight reel was all CG and he has this amazing material he starts from and big$ and in-house spec efx... I think he's the most over rated director on the planet.

I remember watching the original King Kong as a youth in the mid-60's. I laid in bed after watching it...and could still hear the massive thumping of his footsteps in my head (actually it was my heart pounding) and to this day, it is still very vivid in my mind. All I can say is "what a classic" and I am going to be one of the first in line to see the remake that is set realistically in the "by-gone" years.

I think it looks sweet ass. As for "what's with the dino's?". The first King Kong I saw had a big ass snake in it that Kong had to fight... tore it in half by it's mouth... and the snake was big enough to kill Kong. So, as for puttin Dino's in this one... good idea... just taking it one step further. This movie is gonna kick some ass!!

Another example. Kongs' director filmed a trilogy based on books about elves, hobbits, and evil wizards. One of the characters was pure cgi and sentient trees fought a battle. People loved the giant battle scenes that were constructed on computers but Kong is just another cgi mess?
The Kong trailer looks amazing and it is still 6 months from opening. I don't suppose any of you mouth breathers factored this in while critiquing it?
How about reserving adolescent hyperbole about how bad it's going to suck until you know and have seen more of it.
After all, I'm sure the most vocal of you film students out there said "Revenge of the Sith" was going to suck.

What James Cameron did for Titanic - Peter Jackson will do for kong.
Both have a passion for their intended subject. Its this passion that would make it the success. The previous movies inspired these great directors to produce their own version. These remakes will in turn inspire the next generation. "Take from them what you want and leave the rest" i am looking forward to Kong.

I agree about the dinos, the battle between the t-rex and kong reminds me a bit of jurassic park three only kong takes the place of the spinosaurus. I kind of wish they had only showed kong a little bit to greater the excitement of seeing it in theaters, but all in all a fine trailer to a probably fine movie.

I get the idea some of you are unaware of the story of king kong. There are dinosaurs all over skull island and this was years before spielburg was born.This looks like good entertainment and that is all it's supposed to be.Some people will love it,some will hate it.Iwill reserve judgment until I see it.

I just saw the movie 3 hours ago at rob mla. It was really brutal in the cannibal scene, icky in the huge insects part, very romantic in the Jack & Ann/ Anne You wrote a stage play for me scene. Funny in the snobbish part of King Kong. Touching in the death scene of King Kong. You got to watch this movie... it's way better than the first one. It will really take you off your sit. Well, to me it did. :-)

This movie was incredible and I am really glad I saw the origional 1933 classic before I saw Jackson's version because there are so many quotes and tributes to the original such as the dialog between Baxter and Darrow on the ship when Denham is filming, "You don't much care for women..." is quote for quote taken directly from the original. This movie is incredible I loved the scenes in the beginning featuring 1933 New York, in fact this would have been a great film even if it didn't have King Kong in it. Jack Black is great in the role, which surprised me because I had heard critics appauling and disliking his casting, but I think he was perfect for the role as the glory-eyed, over-the-top, alcoholic, director. A perfect film and dare I say better then the Lord of the Rings films. And if you disliked this movie do us all a favor and go watch a "Weekend at Bernie's 2" or some other crap because you clearly have no taste for a great film, that far exceeds the original masterpiece.

I've seen the movie. Yes, it was fucking brilliant! The bug scene in the movie, (for you faithful followers, the part where backup Andy Serkis get's practically devourerd,)was in my opinion, a little damn over the top! I still have goosebumps! Eurrgh, that grossed me out. Now, about the trailer, nice music, but it didn't show the bug scene. I bet the d in dtheatre means damn! KONG REALLY ROCK'S, DTHEATRE!!!!

Get ready for a very long speech, America!
Defining the art of King Kong is as hard as catching fog in a fishing net. If somebody were to describe the movie or the trailer in a single word, they might use violent, or gorey. In the eyes of yours truly, (aka, me!) Kong is an extremely interesting film [process]. Some lines from all of them are from the original 1933 version. The 1972 version gives me the creeps, it was such a horrible failure. And now, here we are, in the 2005 edition. A little violence over-the-top. A little inappropriate for children under 11.(Such as me!) The violence includes a man getting devoured by a Loch Ness like thing that looks slightly like an uncircumcized penis. The nudity/sexuallity is not all that bad. A little kiss here or there, half-nude Adrien Brody, and a stripped woman, let's call her, "Ann Darrow," being dragged through a jungle by a ferocious gorrila. Kong's profanity level is slightly higher than the other versions, an occasional god**** it, what you didn't know could fill a cat's ***, and one kong-sized cuss. The f bomb. The alcohol/drugs in kong are way more intence than the other movies. Jack Black's charecter, overconfident movie producer Carl Denham, seems addicted. (And when I say addicted, I mean it!) By now, you may think that I am a kong fanatic. To those of you who don't believe this can kiss my metal ***.

There is a hidden joke in the new 1. Some of you might have noticed it, but to those of you who haven't, here it is.
Remember when Carl was asking Preston actress possibilities for a make up for Maureen Mckenzie? Then Preston told him that he had to get someone who would fit into her costumes? Then Carl said 'Fay's a size four!'... remiscent of Fay Wray, the original Ann Darrow in the 1933 version of Kong. Preston even notes that she is doing a picture with RKO... the same studio that produced the original Kong. To take things even further, Carl then says, 'Cooper, huh?'... remiscent of Meriah C. Cooper, the director of the original.
