Are MGM DVDs Screwing Film Geeks? BASTARDS!

A lawsuit has surfaced suggesting that a certain number of MGM DVDs advertised as being presented in widescreen actually weren't. The suit suggests MGM took pan-and-scan versions of the flicks and placed bars over the top and bottom of the screen. Bastards! Click over for the GIANT list of DVDs possibly affected.

The Academy doesn't always get it (talented mutherf@*ker Paul Giamatti was left out this year, as was loud-mouth genuis Michael Moore). STRANGERS WITH CANDY Gets Distro At Sundance!

Wack job, sex pot, wit-queen Amy Sedaris and her talented pals Stephen "Fucking" Colbert (Daily Show) and Paul Dinello (the art teacher from the show) made the film version of their cult-ish, Comedy Central classic last spring (with a host of celeb cameos) and now Warner Independent Pictures (the WB's Miramax) has picked it up.

TRAILER: Freaky, THE JACKET Looks Creep Cool!

Adrien Brody and Kiera Knightly star in this interesting-looking thriller about a guy lost between two time periods. Feels like a Jacobs Ladder remake, but looks well done.
