LOST, HOUSEWIVES Get 2005 Emmy Nominations!

The Emmy Nominations are in and Lost, Desperate Housewives, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Will and Grace (people watch that show?) all got multiple nods. Scrubs and Arrested Development (should win) are up for best comedy, while Six Feet Under, West Wing, 24, and Deadwood will go up against Lost for best drama. Oh, the drama. Winterbottom's Sex-Filled NINE SONGS Trailer!

Art-house director Michael Winterbottom (Code 46, 24hr Party People, Welcome to Sarajevo) shoots all his film guerilla-style (no script, only charaters and situations that become scenes). For Nine Songs, he wanted everything to be real, and we mean everything. So take a close look, actors Kieran O'Brien and Margo Stilley are actually having sex in this film which mostly takes place in bed.

COOTER Boycotts New DUKES OF HAZARD Flick!

 No! Why?! How could he? It's not because he went on to become a Republican Congressman from Georgia is it? Ben "Cooter" Jones, theCooter from the original DUkes series has written an open letter urging people not to see the new Dukes flick. He says they trashed the family friendly show. We have no idea what he's talking about.

Hollywood Reporter, Variety Like THE ISLAND?!

Neither the Hollywood Reporter or Variety review loved hack-director Michael Bay's, The Island, but neither of them hated it either. Both give note the simplicity of the film, that it's basically an action chase film with a plot made for the action sequences, and both give nods to Scarlet Johannson and Ewan McGregor's limited performances. The pic is expected to do bangiup, no-brainer business when it opens in two weeks. Read both Reviews.
