First there's a poster, then there's not a poster. Then there's a trailer, then there's not a trailer. If they're going to make a gay cowboy movie you'd think they'd just do it, and quit pussyfooting around.

Thank You. It's about time someone had the courage to show this trailer. It's a beautifully shot film, and whether gay, straight, with donkey ears or not...Gyllenhaul and Ledger really make you care about these characters. The acting looks amazing. This is going to be a breakout film...I can just smell Golden Globe.

Thank you whoever put the trailer up. But I don't hold out much hope that the movie will be what Annie Proulx wrote. Go read the story. These two dudes rut, they can't get enough of each other. Raw, rough, sex. The trailer is all ineundo and romanticism.
Read the story. Be prepared to respond authentically, once the movie is released.

Wow... so much emotion in just a trailer of a movie. I cannot wait for this, but at the same time maybe I don't want to see it because it looks like a movie with an ending that leaves you crying and thinking for weeks.
To see the trailer, you need to upgrade

Many of you are having problems getting the video portion of the "BrokeBack Mountain" trailer. You're probably working with an older version of Windows Media Player. You need version 9. I had the same problem, then I upgraded the WM Player and saw the video portion. However, the video was still poor quality. So then I found a hi-res .MOV version of the trailer, which required a download of QuickTime player (WMP does not play .MOV files). It took awhile to download the QT player and the hi-res trailer, but man, it was worth it... it's the same trailer now playing in the theatres showing "The Constant Gardener". Plan on 2-4 hours total download time. Best to do at night. Believe me, it's worth the wait.
You can find the QT player at
http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/quicktime.html - just hit "DOWNLOAD" and save the .EXE file (it's 12MB, so be patient--it took my computer an hour to download). Be sure to note WHERE on your computer you are downloaded the .EXE. Once downloaded, double click the file on your computer to install QT (takes seconds).
Then go to
http://www.movie-list.com/trailers.php?id=brokebackmountain and download the trailer. There are low-to-high resolution versions. I chose the best ("hi-res") version, which is a whopping 31MB, but it's the best there is. Be prepared to babysit your computer, or turn up your timeout settings (if you know how).

Quicktime must be downloaded from http://www.apple.com/quicktime otherwise you risk your pc to be tainted with spyware. Hell of a movie, by the way.. I cant't wait to see it.

Aw, come on you guys - the sooner you can just admit to your own nconvenient little homoerotic urges picqued by this and other such films, the more - shall we say - relieved, you're going to feel. Wink wink

This is such a emotional/moving trailer. I cryed watching it. I know the ending is going to be sad, But I'm still gonna see it because I cry all the time anyways. I can't wait to see what the out come is. What was the book this movie was based from? Can anyone find it out for me. I would love to buy it and read it a billion times over and over and over again. And to all you rejects out there who think this movie is just to gay, you just aren't man enough to edmit that you're jelious because these guys are makin' big money and you aren't... Outie bitches.
