Sam always have problems with long term relationships. To complicate things, he rans into a boy who was abandoned by his parents, and decides to take him in. Later on, Sam falls in love with a bartender named Mississippi, who had gone tired of quick relationships and thinks of moving in with Sam as well. While Sam takes a preview of parenthood while Mississippi takes a preview of a real relationship, these things does not seem to fit properly in the same household.
On the other side of the movie is a couple, whose relationship is hanging along the edge because of some issues.
