Doug have so much passion for detective work that he even enrolled in college to study forensic science. But as time passed on, so did his aspiration, and he eventually loose interest in it. Later on he moves in with his older sister Gail and taking on jobs that doesn't even require him to use his brains. His dream of becoming a detective comes back when his former girlfriend disappears mysteriously, and he was asked to help in the search.
