The Wait Is Over: Star Trek Trailer Now Online!

Are your geek pants ready? They better be because they're going to get wet. The trailer for the new Star Trek movie is now online!

Star Trek is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine (Smokin' Aces) as Kirk and Zachary Quinto (Heroes) as Spock. The cast also includes Simon Pegg, Eric Bana, and Wynona Ryder. This prequel to the whole Star Trek saga hits theaters May 2009.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get my geek on and discuss the trailer with my fellow science fiction aficionados. Here's the trailer:

I expect this to be the single most
"anticipated" Sci-Fi film since the original itself. I remember getting in to see that movie so well. It is a shame that many if not most of those who will go to this film are not old enough to have seen the original-before the days a multiplex 20 theater complexes-it was still one movie for one theater-hard to even imagine for today's fans. I think the original was out in 78' or early 79'-it was fantastic, but there are more special effects in this trailer than there were in that entire movie-truly this will be a milestone as far as prequels go which are most often lame.
