The early reviews for Martin Scorsese's new, long in post-production flick, The Departed are tempered with decent but problematic accounts of the flick. ?Sounds like Marty has given us another bloated and tired, Amercian crime story full of angry, stocky white guys who get beat up. ?He needs to drop DiCaprio and the violence and do something fresh. ?Click on for reviews and the trailer.

Jack can do no wrong. He's funny, sinister, witty. The plot falls apart after he dies. The romance is unresolved, there are no concrete answers, loose ends are tied up too quickly with no point, and leaves the viewer unfulfilled.
