Variety reports Top Cow Comics has sold the film rights to the Proximity Effect to Steven Sommers (dir. the Mummy movies, upcoming un-cast Flash Gordon flick).  The comic deals with a woman who has powers only when she's in the proximity of a certain guy.  Hopefully, Sommers won't direct.  Click on for the first two issues of the comic.
