In an interview with Terri Gross on NPR's "Fresh Air," actor Paul Reubens ("Pee Wee's Big Adventure") discusses some upcoming projects, including two more "Pee Wee Herman" films and a western for Showtime.  Come listen to the full interview!

Reubens talks about the two scripts he has for the "Pee Wee" movies, describing the types of films that each will be.

One of the scripts is "basically 'Pee Wee's Playhouse' the movie," Reubens said.  "It's sort of an epic 'Wizard of Oz' adventure film."
The film would star all of the characters from the televsion show, which won 22 Emmys, ran for five years, and launched his career.

The script that Reubens believes will be made into a film first, however, is somewhat darker than the children's show.  "It's kind of the 'Valley of the Dolls' 'Pee Wee' movie," he said.
