What happens when rappers from the East side meet up with the rappers from the West side? Well, I don't know for sure, but it appears to be a mess. These magazine "events" bring out the worst. LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The rapper Young Buck was being sought by police Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a man who punched hip-hop legend Dr. Dre at the Vibe awards.

Race ALWAYS seems to come into the picture and that's a damn shame. I'm a black girl and I cannot stand rap music...I really dislike it 95% of the time it sucks, and a lot of rap that I hear has no meaning.
...With all this ass/party/crunk/shit talk-I really don't see how any person can
actually enjoy rap while sober (no offense). As a matter of fact, I don't like much of mainstream music. That would include Linkin Park too-whom I can tolerate sometimes-but altogether, this whole particular scene of music is sucky to me. I don't think hating rap music equates to hating black people. I prove just that, because HELLO - I AM black! MUSIC and RACE are two different subjects with two different meanings. Whatever peeps.

There is no such thing as race. It is a human invention. And for most of us we accept these labels. Division causes disorder friends. It's amazing & at the same time absurd the things we humans invent that create division amongst ourselves. There are political, geographic, racial & economic divisions, but to emphasize the divisions only breeds antagonism & hatred. Music is music. It is as simple as that.
