Topic: News Huge Pile of SUPERMAN News! Updated!!
By Charley on November 26, 2004 4:54 PM

Superman NewsSuperman-V.com has posted a huge update on the status of the upcoming "Superman Returns," including a costume update, a Lois Lane update, a co-star casting update, a synopsis of an exclusive clip, and so much more!  Update: What is this about Steve Martin???

Among the news, Amalgamated Dynamics Inc. (ADI) has taken on the responsibility of creating the new Superman costume.  Their credits include "Spider-Man" (they created both the Spidey and green goblin costumes), "Alien vs Predator," and "Starship Troopers."

According to the article, actor Jack Larson, who played Jimmy Olsen in the original 1950's "Superman" has been approached by Bryan Singer to play Perry White, the head of The Daily planet.

UPDATE:
Contrary to the above information, Filmrot is reporting that Steve Martin ("Cheaper by the Dozen") is close to landing the role of Perry White in hopes of reviving his now stagnant career.  More on that as it develops.

The Superman_V.com article also contains a link to Brandon Routh's new unofficial fan site, which has a clip of Routh's appearance on "Will and Grace."

Natalie Portman ("Star Wars" prequels) is out of the running to play Lois Lane.  Meanwhile, here, it is being reported that Kate Bosworth ("Blue Crush"), Elisha Cuthbert ("The Girl Next Door"), and Claire Danes ("Terminator 3") are the top contenders to play Lois Lane.

There is too much more to talk about here, so head on over and read

Yea, she was is Tomb Raider and THAT didn't suck. Steve Martin as Perry White? Perry's humour has always come from the fact that he himself is so humourless so I can't see Steve Martin making that work.

No way to all of that, angelina jolie sucks, she could never be Lois Lane. U need a nobody who hasn't been seen. That way the story will feel real.
