Walter Salles, the director of the recently touted, Motorcycle Diaries, directs Jennifer Connelly in yet another Ring-ish softcore freakfest. Having said that, its a solid trailer, good looking trailer. Available in Quicktime and Windows Media

The movie looks decent, but why does hollywood keep taking ideas from japan cant they think for themselves and make scary movies?  The ring remake was a great movie but with each new remake (the grudge and now this) im seeing to many characteristics being repeated which is going to kill the effect altogether.  We will see, maybe it will be great?

Dark Water the original Japanese movie was kind of weak to begin with.  I agree, it's kind of sad that Hollywood can't think for themselves, they have to reach to Japan and ripoff all their already established hits.  In particular it's a little sad that they'll remake any movie the Japanese author of The Ring has done, even his weaker films.

Hopefully, that would save it. Anyway I agree with A random shemp that the jap version lacked to begin with, however in the jap version the directing was fantastic. Plus, I thought the storyline about a struggling single mother was a lot more enjoyable.

i am soooo pissed that they are doing a remake of this movie.... lazy ass americans can't even watch a foreign film they have to go and make it theirs and all....english, the jap version was pretty good it wasnt great but leave it at that people DAMMIT!
