 MICHAEL BAY'S THE ISLAND, THE ROCK II & More!

Not everyone hates Michael Bay. It's to those of you who don't feel like Wind(up)bird and consider yourselves fans of Michael Bay, that our new friend 'Insider' has sent us this great scoop with a bunch of news on his current projects.
Fan and Insider, of Michael Bay, here. Have a couple of updates on the mans movements courtesy a contact at Platinum Dunes.
Bit of an update on what's going on in Michael Bay-ville.....
Michael has hired Steve Jablonsky to do the music for "The Island", his latest picture, which stars Ewan McGregor.
Kevin Daniels from Ladder 49 is the latest person to be cast in "The Island".
Bay and Doug Cook are writing "The Rock II", which has been in the idea-stage for the good part of five years. Plan is to still have it reuniting Connery/Cage.
Early 2006, begins working on a prequel to "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" in Tx.
And the "Superman" rumor? Never ever a possibility. "I don't know where that came from, probably the Josh Hartnett link", says my contact.

The Rock 2 is a wonderful idea. Independent films with intriguing storylines and plots don't deserve one cent of the colossal pile of millions that it will cost to shoot the Rock 2; which will ultimately about two guys coming out of retirement to pull off one last crazy must-do job so that they can finally ride off into the sunset as friends with their reputations intact and lots of expensive cars blown-up. At least of course if and when the movie comes out thats the story we'll all think we saw because, having been edited so poorly, most of us won't remember shit about it.

On the comentary for The Rock, Bay said that the idea is that the government goes after Cages' character because he got hold of that microfilm and so he teams up with Connery again and go on the run. Alkatraz will probably be incorporated somehow aswell.
