Groovy, baby. Ash is the coolest pop culture icon alive. Not only would he wipe the floor with Freddy and Jason, but he could take out Indiana Jones, James Bond, and anyone else ever to be in a movie. I just hope they don't bring shame and disgrace to the name of Evil Dead with this new flick.

Well if it does happen Bruce Campbell would have to be Ash. Most, if not all Evil Dead fans wouldn't have it any other way and I don't think that Sam Raimi would either. And in my personal opinion if they did go ahead with the film,it would end both the Nightmare on Elm St. and Friday the 13th series because once Ash got a hold of them there would be no coming back for either one of them. Ash is a demon slayer from way back!!! When Ash kills you that is the end of you. Freddy and Jason don't want none!!!! And on another note I don't think it would be any good if Robert Englund was not Freddy, of course. I think that as long as Sam Raimi has plenty control it will be okay.

But as we wage the powers of each icon agiansy eachother we should recon Hollywood logic. They want to keep the possibility open for more sequels (to this series and the originals). So I guess nobody really wins agian. Probably this time Freddy wins, Jason is mailed to uncle Satan once more and Ash gets up from under the rubble in the end, wanting revenge on Freddy, thus opening up for part 3 where everybody can join the fest again. What we want to happen is not the matter these days I fear. this is an interesting concept, but soo easy to mess up....

well, to all you who say so and so will win...remember, rule number 1 of a horror movie franchise, no matter what, the main character, ie, freddy, jason, ash, or whoever, is never ever dead for good, so no matter who 'wins' there is a sure bet that if the movie makers want, they will find a way to bring them back if they feel there is money to be made. Who knows, maybe Ash will have the book of the dead with him and he will be able to mix a potion or cast some spell and somehow live forever as long as there is evil around...i mean, how many people do you know that can cut their own possesed hand off and strap a chainsaw onto the nub and start hacking the shit out of everything evil!

Listen up guys, rumours have been going around new line cinemas that this project might not kick off. However this movie would work great into the story line of deamons, refering to of course the last two movies(jason goes to hell and Freddy's dead). Remeber the book of the dead is in the last friday movie (not 10, 9), And in the first Nightmare movie we saw Jasons mask and the movie Nacy was watchin>>>Evil dead.

I'm a big fan of all three of these movies, Rami is tied up with Spiderman 3 that he doesn't have time for this, hopefully they can get a start on this movie at least work up a good scprit, and recuit a few good actors so they can die in the movie and become famous(ie. Kevin Bacon and Johnny depp). Please start this movie!

Pinhead! they were excited with the idea but Dimension Films are against the idea so its put on hold ,and Clive Barkers says he might go and do a Pinhead VS. You see guys The whole vs thing is getting out og hand with all of these other big names. I was impressed by the storyline in avp however I was discouraged by it due to the lact of gore (ie.rated pg13 not R). Freddy vs jason went together in a sense and hopefully if they add ash to the mix it cou;d get better. The story should open with ash and then eventually go to Freddy telling us how he lost this fight with Jason, Ash then stumbles upon Crystal lake and is serching for the book of the dead but he finds more thaan just the damn book. This is just my opinon how it should open. anyways later

I'm a hardcore evil dead fan and I would love to see Ash come back... but I'm not sure he fits here in this setting. Wouldn't it just be better for an evil dead 4? I think that the way Ash is portrayed that he will wind up winning this match, however also like all 3 movies in the evil dead trilogy I kind of get the feeling that somehow Ash will wind up screwd in the end; but of course in a way that us evil dead fans can accept like the REAL ending to the 3rd one(not that I didn't like the s-mart finale too though). It would be fun to see what they do with this unlikely trio though.

I get the feeling that if you add the mask this movie would be a nightmare. Interesting concept in comparing him to freddy but come on... well shoot he might make a good match if it were only freddy vs. the mask, in fact that would be a lot of fun. Where Jason ties in I'm not sure and it would be interesting if they could include the mindless killing machine in this one the way he Usually is portrayed in friday the 13th. Ash and freddy is going to be sweeet. I'm really lookin forward to this I hope it goes well.

Sam Raimi isnt letting Ash be in the next Freddy vs Jason moooovie anymore and they cant seem to find another horror moooovie star to be in it so it looks like its just gonna be Freddy and Jason fighting it out and stringing it along till the 3rd film.

Hey its the no Ash thing is sumfin ive read and heard about on many occasions u dont need 2 get all huffy with me im not the one who wrote the articles and the way they get "fizz into soda pop" is they put the drink under pressure so that it becomes carbonated.

Right all you guys are just dissing each other and other film characters, you have to think about these films being films, for example they cant really have Michael Myers in there because it would be a second character that doesnt talk also halloween 9 is in the making. Really they would have to have somebody like Ash because he talks, he kills demons (so he would go after Freddy) and Ash and Jason are connected with the whole book of the dead thing so really Ash would be the perfect choice.
