Yeehaw! Many of you probably saw the news that Lucasfilm announced the title to the third "Star Wars" prequel at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. "Revenge of the Sith" will hit theaters in May of 2005.
The Sith are the yang to the Jedi's yin--arch nemeses of all that is good in the galaxy far, far away. Masters of the dark side of the Force, the Sith are basically responsible for everything bad that happens, including the stilted dialogue, mediocre acting, and meandering plot.
The story takes place near the end of the Clone Wars, which were about to begin at the conclusion of "Episode II," and probably could have made for some interesting cinema.
All the usual suspects will be back--Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor, Samuel L. Jackson, and Frank Oz as the voice of Yoda.
Thanks to Sammy Jenkins for making me work over the weekend by giving the heads up in the discussion forums.
