Will Smith proved himself the undisputed king of the US summer box office as he once again owned the weekend when I, Robot knocked Spider-Man 2 off the top spot. The only other major newcomer, Hilary Duff's A Cinderella Story, was third with $13.8 million. Despite savage reviews, the film took in nearly $4 million more than expected. People will watch anything.
