Video Footage of BATMOBILE!!
By Wind(up)bird on June 16, 2004 11:10 AM
Dig this video footage of the unveiling of the new, lumpy and cool, Batmobile. In the script, Bruce Wayne borrows the design from a defunct military contract of Wayne Industries.

I still think the Batmobile looks stupid. And what does Kelis' Milkshake have to do with anything?
My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like, "its better than yours" damn right it's better than yours, I can teach you but I'd have to charge.
Awww yeah.. Go Batman!

Looks like it started out as someone's massive Origami project. Can't say that it gives me much hope for the franchise.

So the movie's going to suck based on the fact that you don't like what the batmobile looks like?

I'm just glad to see the overly pretensious props being abandoned, now to get the crappy romances obliterated from the movie series.

actually, the new batmobile looks a lot like a throw-back to the batmobile in Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns".

That Batmobile has to be THE UGLIEST peice of garbage Ive ever seen. Tim Burtons was the best and has yet to be topped by any batman film.

The movie is called Batman Begins so the Batmobile shouldn't be covered in neon or be too sleek. I think it shows imagination.

It seems like Bruce Wayne have not all the money everybody thinks he have because this "crapmobile" it´s made it with the worst autoparts; looks very very ugly and handcrafted with the eyes closed

The car does look kind of cool but how the fuck is it bat like in any way, at least the other cars were streamline and had bat like wings this thing doesnt make any sense at all.

Who are you people? If anyone among you can give me one solid piece of proof that you know anything about the Batman stories (anything at all), then I shall attempt to take this crap that you are saying seriously. However, I'm sure we can all agree on one thing - Joel Shumacher's films were lousy and the new batmobile does need some work. It's the first real attempt they've made in a long time (since Batman Returns) to capitalize on the Batman Franchize and correct any mistakes they've made. I don't see you working 24/7 busting yourselves to save the Batman legacy. However, if you're just using this site as a not-so-clever way to talk about words that you have fashioned yourselves or trying to find innumerable ways to use the word "fart" out of context, you're doing a great job and don't let me stop you.

I really like the fact that they're trying to make batman more true to life. He is, after all, one of the most realistic comic book heroes out there. The last few films reminded me more of the old tv series with Adam West than anything else. It didn't take its characters seriously, so the fans didn't take it seriously either. I agree that Burton's version of the Dark Knight is the best, but it's also very fantasy oriented. I mean, what if there actually were a man out there putting on a batsuit and preying on criminals. What kind of person would he be? And what would his car look like...

The car looks pretty shit, but i could of been worse, they could of gone with the old car, with a stubid giant bat head thing on the front, that was lame.

that car would be allright for something like Road Warrior or Mad Max, but there are certain expectations for a batmobile, and that one does fit any of them. the batmobile should look streamlined and sleek and smooth, not like a pile of sheetmetal with wheels.

I saw the batmobile and it looks strange , but when you see it again and again you just can't help loving it, and you will be jealous

Bruce didn't start off as Batman when he started "fighting crime." So why would he start off with a sleek "bat like" car? He just needed something dark and versatile at first. Over the years, everything got sleaker. But this is Batman BEGINS.

It's supposed to be a modified military vehicle developed by wayne enterprises that he uses... again, this goes with the "begins" theme..so it *does* fit the bill.. looks like it has ablative armor (the 'origami' looking stuff)..

Hi, I think that apart from all the bickering, right or wrong, style etc out to the side lines, there's one point to mention: Those tyres seem like one hell of e weak link. Is there chance they're solid, or bullet resistant, or what. So far I can't see it making it past the end of his driveway?
