Cool CONSTANTINE Trailer!!
By Wind(up)bird on May 19, 2004 10:20 AM
The first look at Keanu's second, post-Matrix project looks fairly damn soild. Lets just hope he doesn't talk all that much. Dig the woman rolling around on the ceiling. Constantine is due to hit the big screen February 11, 2005.

I think it looks stupid and unoriginal. I'm gonna watch it. They had a special effects budget.

- Originally, Tarsem Singh was attached to direct with 'Nicholas Cage' to star. However, the director said that "With Cage, I can not make the film I had wanted to". Soon after Singh left the picture, Cage did as well.
- Although the movie Constantine is based on the comic book Hellblazer, the movie title was changed because it was too similar to Hellraiser. The comic book itself was actually meant to be called Hellraiser, but Clive Barker came up with the title first.
- In the comic book "Hellblazer" on which the movie is based, the character of John Constantine is from Liverpool. In the movie, the character is from California.

Hellblazer is a great comic that truly breaks ground on the modern horror genre...to have Keanu's vast acting powers playing Constantine gives the term HORROR movie new meaning...truly this is a sign of the APOCOLYPSE.

As long as Shia LaBeouf is in it, and its not like Reeeves is ugly or anything. The movie looks good and it looks freaky. I want to rent it because its been out for a while. Who wouldnt want to see it.

Keanu is wonderful, he is a real person and I think he gives his all to every movie he plays. So what if you've loved the comicbook? Come into the real world!! Quit whinning, if you don't like him, don't watch the movie! Simple. I love him, in anything.

and for those who have yet to here the new band Celldweller their music is in the newest trailer for the film. That band is f'n amazing and their presence makes the film cool as shit just because their music is involved.

Trust me... if that piece of crap hellboy made any money, this should do quite well... and nothing could be as bad as Catwoman (the trailers turned me off so badly that I didn't bother to even rent it). I think I will give it a chance.

I think, Keanu Reeves is a good choice to play John Constantine. He is besser than Nicolas Cage. Brad Pitt would have been a good choice too. In "Seven" he looks a little bit like John in the comics. I can't wait to see the movie.
