Topic: Interview Interviews With T-3 Cast and Crew
By Jack on 2003-06-22 00:36:18
Thanks to our "connections" at WB, we're proud to present you with a nice juicy set of junket roundtable interviews with the star-studded cast and crew of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (opening July 2nd). Including interviews with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nick Stahl, Claire Danes, Kristanna Loken, Jonathan Mostow and Stan Winston.

Click on a name for an MP3 audio interview:

Arnold Schwarzenegger (21:18 minutes)
It's really Arnold's big series and he's got to get back into shape to trick us into thinking he not 106. After all, He still has to arrive naked! People working with Ah-nold generally describe him as an icon of 'the professional actor' and in T-3 he gets hit with a squib on set and injures his shoulder without ever complaining (the director didn't know till he read it in the local paper!). What a man! I bet Steven Seagal would have gone home cryin' to his mamma. As always Arnie is big on politics and is still eyeing a governor spot. But he's not out of the movies yet, and he is currently working on Westworld.

Claire Danes (21:10 minutes)
Claire Danes she was hired after a week of shooting with actress Sophia Bush who was replaced because of her youth. In the interview Claire talks about her training to be a Circus freak for Flora Plum a film to be directed by Jodie Foster but eventually shelved. She even gets into details about her first kiss. Don't get excited yet guys, the bad news is she's getting hitched to Aussie singer-songwriter Ben Lee. Claire lastest project is Complete Female Stage Beauty directed by Iris director Richard Eyre.

Nick Stahl (17:58 minutes)
Nick Stahl talks about being able to play a role in a film he grew up with as a child and working with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Kristanna Loken (16:03 minutes)
The sexy Model turned Actress, Kristanna Loken's step into the Terminatrix villan role is a big one. You'll be glad to hear that she, like Arnold, worked hard on the body we're gonna see.

Jonathan Mostow (19:22 minutes)
Director Jonathan Mostow whose credits include Breakdown and U571 had to measure up to James Cameron's past work with the 20 year old Terminator franchise and even had to rebuild parts of LA for some scenes. Jonathan has to cut previously written scenes after 9/11. He loves and hates fan websites and hopes T3 won't be over-hyped.

Stan Winston, Special Effects (13:57 minutes)
The challenges for makeup and special effects veteran Stan Winston were abundant. Technology has come a long way since he (and/or James Cameron) created the first Terminator. The T-X being the first and hence much more evil terminator was developed and designed with computers versus sculpting in clay. Stan Winston also talks about Leonardo (Da Vinci not Dicaprio) a project in which Stan Winston Studios has teamed up with computer scientist Cynthia Breazeal to develop a Social Robot.
