My boyfriend just got me the DVD wednesday and I just watched the "dont watch this" part. Well, I left the room when Noah pulls the canoe up to the dock. I know what's in there, but I don't want to see it! LoL
I noticed some things.
1)When you watch the original movie, it looks like Anna just stuffed the bag over Samara's head and threw her in the well. But when you watch the outtakes, you see Anna holding the bag closed as she gropes for a rock. Finding nothing, she pulls a loosish brick up from the well wall and conks Samara over the head with it. They should have left that part in so people could see how she does a somewhat better job of knocking her out, but then when Anna closed the well it wouldn't be a ring, there would be a hole there. LoL.
2)I'm guessing the well pictured at the end of the tape wasn't the real well. I know that makes no sense but to get a better picture look at the well featured on the cover of the movie. It's so tiny you could barely fit a dipper inside it let alone a person especially compared to the scene when Rachel falls into the well.
3)They left out a couple of scenes from the movie that they should have kept in to make more sense like the papers that say live birth and 67 miscarriages, and especailly the parts where it shows a baby in a womb and coming out of the womb, if I hadn't seen that I never would have suspected she was born from a horse.
Now Questions
1)For those of you who have seen the "don't watch this" part, when it showed Rachel and Noah at the inn, were they really in the same place at the same time without knowing? I kinda missed that.
2)Did Samara commit suicide? Here's how I came up with that: a person could live without food for years. Assuming that she drank the water in the well it might have made her ill but not kill her, and if she stayed with her head out of the water she could have lived for years, since she never slept so she could only have drowned if she wanted to.
3)I just recently got a portable DVD player and I haven't got the battery in the remote yet so I haven't been able to watch the movie with subtitles, but at the part where she sings I know what the lyrics are but listen as I try all I ever hear is "here we go the world is spinning, when it stops it's just beginning." I don't here the rest. Weird.
Haha I've only watched the Ring on 3 mediums, the first time I watched it was the TV in my bedroom which is like hanging from the ceiling 8 feet up so if she came out she would have fallen and broke her neck. Then I downloaded it and watched it on my computer which the screen is like 18 inches by a foot I don't think she could fit out of it now I watch it on my portable DVD player which is like 7 inches wide she DEFINATELY couldn't come out of there so I think I'm safe LoL
