More FANTASTIC FOUR, and THE ISLAND Trailers

With the summer season of popcorn, crowds, sweat, air conditioning, and screaming kids in full swing, the majors are pumping theatres and the internet with 8 billion different versions of their big summer money machines. Fantastic Four is still feeling lame ("Flame On!") but slowly looking worth a sneak-in, and The Island may be worth sneaking into after walking out of Fantastic just to watch Johansson run.

The Hollywood Reporter's, Michael Rechtshaffen states, "Expertly tossing off the type of well-sharpened banter that was the domain of Gable and Lombard and Tracy and Hepburn, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- no matter what their off-camera status -- make one swell combative couple." STAR WARS TV Show Rumor Strategically Released!

Who knows if this one is true or not, but word from Moviehole.com is that Lucas has put out and "availability check" on aussie actor Matt Newton. Supposedly, the actor was Lucas' second choice for Anakin and may be his first choice for the TV show.

STAR WARS Dominates 2nd Box Office Weekend!

George, ILM, and the bastards over at Fox earned another $70m over the weekend. Madagascar did well, coming in second with just over $61m, and the incredibly lame looking Longest Year slide in to the number 3 spot earning $60m.

EPISODE III Earns $108 Million in 1st Weekend!

It earned around $50m in its first 24hrs and may total nearly $160m since it opened at midnight on Thursday. Critics, geeks, and wookie-lovers alike seem to love the film and industry fucks feel encouraged about the potential for a big ass summer box office take for over hyped hollywood movies.
