 Spielberg Has AMERICAN FILM IDOL Show At FOX

Apparently Steven Spielberg loves American Idol. Now he and Mark Burnett (Prod. Survivor, Apprentice) have put together an American Idol-like show (called, On The Lot) for filmmakers at Fox and a pilot is already scheduled to shoot. The model for the show is more like American Idol and less like Project Greenlight (contestants are pitted against each other each week and are voted on by the public). The prize; a meeting with Stevie and a first-look deal at Dreamworks. Read click over for the details.

Hmm... Mark Burnett. Of course, I know who he is, and I love the apprentice and american idol. (I watch them with my 9-year-old). But Mark Burnett...has anyone been cruisin A&E; recently? Because in their original movie 'Flight 93' features a passenger named Tom Burnett. And that's not a fake name because that movie's about 9/11. So is this Mark Burnett guy a reletive of this guy? I'll do some research and let you know later.

This Spielberg person. He made it in Hollywood because he had connections right? I mean not all great directors are white jewish men right? Is it harder to become an A-list hollywood director/producer if you are a minority? What talent is being shut-out because Hollywood is so exclusive to certain heritage?
