Topic: News X-MEN 3's KITTY PRYDE Has Been Cast!
By Wind(up)bird on July 28, 2005 7:58 PM

Bret "Bitch" Ratner has cast little known actress, Ellen Page in the role of Kitty Pryde in X-Men 3.  The Pryde role was to supposed to have gone to Lost's Maggie Grace, but Ratner put a stop that good idea before it became a reality. X-Men 3 has been shooting in Vancouver and San Francisco over the past week and geeks believe that means a teaser trailer for the Thanksgiving holiday season is in the works. Actual shooting begins in August.

The person posting this story admits that the person cast is a little known actress and yet somehow "knows" Maggie Grace would be better.

Which head is this person using when reporting a story?

I used to like this site but it seems that more and more that 12 year old mentality is taking over.

Yes I know, if I don't like it then don't visit but I also have a right to an opinion just as everyone else has. And I know that not visiting this site is no loss to anyone but is there anyone else out there eho feels that the overall quality of the site is lacking as of late?

OK shemps, begin blasting me....

Whatever..

i love the reporting as well   > reply

yes.
the quality of reporting is 'lacking of late'.  however i have no frame of reference to which i could consider 'of late' but i'm sure that the role of shadowcat will be performed wonderfully.

singer's direction is near-unflappable.  although i pray they get a bigger actor for poitr rasputin.  i wasn't impressed by the size of the steeled-out collossus in X2...

i mean, you gotta have someone that can pick up phil jackman and throw him for the signature team-up move, after all.

I have been one of the beggest fans of X-Men for most of my life. And Kitty Pryde has always been my favorite character. I was not impressed at all with who they casted for the first two movies. And now this Ellen girl? She's not right for the part at all. And it really upsets me casue i act and i would be perfct for this role. But they hire this Page rat to play Kitty Pryde? They are Half assing this character way too much. I know that thats not the best they can do, if i can't play the part...then i want to at least see someone who' worth it.

Well, I thought Rogue was pretty wrong too.
Only captain Picard was cool.

I like Anna Paquin as Rogue.

The characters I would love too see in X3 and not just like an apperance but show them with their powers is Wolfsbane, Magma, Sunspot, and Jubilee (with her actually doing something)etc... And maybe some from the brotherhood like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch and Avalanche.

I mean i love Wolverine and Jean Grey and all, but it'd be cool to see more mutants and their powers then just them.
