The weakest weekend of the almost dead summer box office season (hijacked by the Olympics) resulted in another bad flick pretending it opened strongly (AVP won its 1st weekend).  Exorcist: The Beginning pulled in $18m over the weekend, Without a Paddle came in second with $13m.
