The prequel to the 1973 horror sensation hits theaters this August, but come see the full trailer online right here.  Beware, however--for better or worse, this is no 1973 horror film.

"Exorcist: The Beginning" stars Stellan Skarsgard ("King Arthur"), James D'arcy ("Master and Commander"), and Izabella Scorupco ("Reign of Fire") and is directed by Renny Harlin ("Driven," "Deep Blue Sea").

The film tells the story of Father Lankester Merrin (Skarsgard) and his first encounter with the Devil during WWII.
